Peace Day Update from Peace Channel - Nagaland, India
Dear Peace Lovers,
Greetings of love and peace from Peace Channel!
It gives us immense joy to announce that the Peace Channel is
organizing the fifth annual ‘North East Youth Peace & Cultural
Festival’ (NEYPCF), on the .inauguration day of Peace Channel and the
International Day of Peace with the theme “Sustainable Peace for a
Sustainable Future.” at Holy Cross Hr. Sec. School Campus,
Dimapur, Nagaland, India from the 21st – 23rd September, 2012.
The movement, founded in the year 2005, has a reach out of over 200
institutions and 25 localities with over 15000 young members in
Nagaland and in the North EAst Region. Further, around 500 leading
personalities from different walks of life have been enlisted as
associate members. The movement is now spreading to the other North
Eastern states and the rest of India while making its mark in the
international scene with participation in world events.
The North Eastern Youth Cultural & Peace Festival is an annual
gathering of the Peace Club members, associates, representatives of
various organizations, peace activists and thinkers from across the
North East and invitees from across the country and the world.
The three days event will enable integration through inter-cultural
interaction and sharing, facilitate learning through input sessions,
panel discussions and discourses from leading personalities, provide
entertainment through exposition of cultural dances, songs and art
forms, and above all inculcate Peace in the mind and hearts of the
participants through the thematic stream - “Sustainable Peace for a
Sustainable Future.”
